Next Generation Leadership Academy 2012

Several Kentucky schools are working with the University of Kentucky College of Education to discover new ways to educate students growing up with knowledge, technology and economies much different than previous generations. The Next Generation Leadership Academy was designed in response to a nation-wide need to enhance school systems to meet the needs of today’s learners. The February session of the academy took place at the Boone Center on the UK campus.

The college’s impetus for providing this unique training opportunity was the creation of its Kentucky P20 Innovation Lab, which connects university research faculty with pre-school through graduate-level education practitioners across Kentucky and beyond. The P20 Lab has opened many new doors for university collaboration with Kentucky’s schools.

Participants in the P20 Lab’s Next Generation Leadership Academy are from the following counties or districts:

Danville Independent
Eminence Independent
Jenkins Independent
